my suggestions to improve the system are
1)make all government procurements or government sponsored agencies procurements online. there should not be contact between beneficiery and the service provider.
2)There should be very good salary for politicians (Like singapore). Only educated and qualified and age restricted people should enter politics.
3)Government servents/Politicians/Police personnel/judges should declare their assets and liabilites. The details should reach common man
4)Government should start official website to counter corruption and they should invite response from every citizen about its services.Government should provide platform to rated their servants and politicians and its services
Its a good suggestion. However realistically when those who are supposed to initiate such measures are corrupt and narrow minded, I would suspect the effectiveness of this. According to me there is no radical solution for an over all change in the right direction given India's diversified polity. Its a very unique case that has been shaped by such different culture, language, tradition etc. The effect of which is what we see as a decadent social psyche and that is where most of the problems are rooted. Its in the social psyche and as such it is hard to pin point a particular problem and cause. The only way to approach is to start some 'movement' (I have to leave it abstract at this point, but I know what I am talkin about) at school levels. Again, I have no faith in government or similar organizations. Which leaves the responsibility upon us. Hence if a group of similar minded people can come together and facilitate a social system in schools, this hopefully should produce some result in the long run. Initially this may sound a bit utopian and there is no immediate results, but given there is proper planning it would give a direction , if not a change. The underlying principle is nothing but give our youth a direction, and let the change evolve.
